Sound doctrine

The term “sound doctrine” describes ideas or teachings that are in line with the Bible and the essential tenets of the Christian religion. It serves as the cornerstone of Christian theology and aids in the comprehension of God’s revelation and purposes for humankind by believers. Key components of good doctrine are as follows:

Biblical Authority: The Bible’s authority as God’s inspired Word serves as the foundation for sound doctrine (2 Timothy 3:16–17). It recognizes the Bible as the only reliable source of knowledge and guidance for one’s religion and behavior.

Trinitarian God: According to Matthew 28:19, sound doctrine upholds the doctrine of the Trinity, which holds that there is only one God who exists in three Persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. Christian conception of God’s nature is shaped by this underlying conviction.
