About Us
EPOTT Ministries was established at Hope Fountain School in Midrand South Africa on the
14th of February 2016 with an initial membership of 26 believers.
The church has continued to grow tremendously since its inception and recorded average
attendance of 77 within the first 10 weeks of opening.
The name EPOTT is an acronym for “Enlarge the Place Of Thy Tent” derived from the
scripture in Isaiah 54:2-3 “Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the
curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes; For
thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the
Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.”
The church has attracted members from all over Gauteng, with members from Orange
Farm, Joburg South, Hillbrow, Yeoville, Randburg, Cosmo, Buccleuch, Tembisa, Olieven,
Midrand and Pretoria.
EPOTT Ministries also has several branches in the SADC countries of Zimbabwe, Zambia
and Malawi.
The church endeavors to continue expanding locally and globally reaching out to the
unchurched and unsaved with the Good News of the gospel of salvation in Jesus Christ.

FAQ
We Need Your Help
We currently have one worship service every Sunday and it starts at 9am and ends at 11:30am. You should arrive at least 5 minutes before the service starts. The service kicks off with a time of corporate prayer followed by a time of praise and worship. After worship is the ministry of the Word by one of our pastors and ministers. There is also a time of ministration where different conditions including the sick are prayed for.
We have a Children’s ministry service that runs in parallel to the main service and caters for children from the age of 3 to 12. The children participate in their own time of singing, prayer, and Bible learning as well as other fun activities.
Our church is Pentecostal in nature. We believe in personal salvation in Jesus Christ, we believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. We believe Holy Spirit distributes spiritual gifts to all believers and we encourage our members to function and serve through them. We welcome the flow of the Holy Spirit in our services; however we believe all things must be done orderly and we do not condone excesses.
We have a diverse mixture of congregants. Our congregation spans from newborns to elderly people in their 60s. People from different social classes attend our services – marries, single, divorced, widowed, professionals, business owners, freelancers. Most of our members are youth and young adults but most important is that we welcome everyone!
Our vision at Epott Ministries is inspired by Isaiah 54:2-3, where we are encouraged to “enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes. For you will spread out to the right and to the left; your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in their desolate cities.” This vision motivates us to expand our reach, welcome more people into our community, and spread God’s word far and wide.
We are dedicated to broadening both our spiritual and physical reach through the establishment of new church locations, the improvement of our outreach initiatives, and the promotion of an inclusive community that welcomes all. In order to reach people all around the world, we also prioritize digital evangelism, following the instruction to expand our “tent” by utilizing contemporary platforms and technologies.
Having members is essential to realizing our goal. We encourage every member to take part in church activities that assist in the spread of the gospel as well as community outreach and mission support. Additionally, we encourage our members to stretch their tents and open their hearts by inviting friends, family, and neighbors to church services and events.
Our purpose is rooted in Matthew 28:18-20, which commissions us to “go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” At Epott Ministries, we dedicate ourselves to discipleship, evangelism, and the education of Christians to live out their faith in obedience to God’s commands.
Through a range of initiatives, such as Sunday services, Bible study groups, discipleship seminars, and evangelistic outreach events, we carry out our goal. The goal of each of these programs is to increase participants’ faith, comprehension, and dedication to the teachings of Christ.
